Rejection Isn’t Personal – Keep Moving
Rejection happens. In this market, it’s expected. It doesn’t mean you’re unqualified or doing something wrong. It just means you’re in the middle of the process, and the process is rarely clean.
Here’s what I recommend:
- Expect some chaos. Job searches don’t move in straight lines. One week, things pick up, the next feels dead. That’s normal. If it feels messy, you’re probably close to something breaking loose.
- Don’t pause for “perfect.” One strong interview doesn’t mean you’re done. Keep going. Keep applying. If that job works out, great. If it doesn’t, you’ve already built momentum.
- Surround yourself with the right people. Lean on people who push you forward — smart contacts, friends who get it, others in the same boat. The right circle keeps your head straight.
Rejection is part of the deal. Take it, learn from it, and keep moving. You might be one step away.
